Nine Inch Nails is returning to Atlanta this fall for a pair of shows at the Fox Theatre and the band is going old-school with ticket sales.
In an attempt to combat resellers, tickets for their “Cold and Black and Infinite” tour will only be sold in person at the venue – at least initially.
The Physical World pre-sale event will take place May 19 at the Fox Theatre ticket office (660 W. Peachtree St. NW). Tickets will be sold between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.; no lineups are permitted before 8 a.m. and no new line entries will be accepted after 3 p.m. Prices are $45-$175 for the Sept. 26-27 shows. The Jesus and Mary Chain are on board as special guests.
Here is the band’s awesome explanation on their ticket info site (www.nin.com/tickets2018/):
The promise of a world made better by computers and online connectivity has failed us in many ways, particularly when it comes to ticketing. Everything about the process sucks and everyone loses except the reseller. We’ve decided to try something different that will also likely suck, but in a different way. We’re hoping many of you will be happy with the results, while some may do what they always do and bitch about it.
Fans can purchase up to four tickets per show. Limited quantities may be released via additional ticketing channels at a later date, subject to inventory.
Nine Inch Nails, which last played Atlanta in 2014, will release “Bad Witch” on June 22, the final album of a trilogy that began with 2016’s “Not the Actual Events” and continued with 2017’s “Add Violence.”
The album is available for pre-order in all formats and limited exclusive merchandise bundles from https://nin.lnk.to/Music.
