The death of Swedish EDM star Avicii on Friday prompted an outpouring of love and condolences on Twitter from other big names in the tight-knit community.

Avicii, born Tim Bergling, was found dead in Oman at the age of 28. No cause of death has been identified, but the young artist retired from touring in 2016 due to health problems including pancreatitis. In 2014, he canceled his appearance at TomorrowWorld, which was then held in Chattahoochee Hills.

Throughout his decade-plus career, Avicii worked with artists including Lenny Kravitz and Nicky Romero, while playing some of the largest EDM festivals it the world.

He broke through the mainstream in a massive way with his inescapable 2013 hit, “Wake Me Up,” which was certified six times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.

Here are some tributes from his peers.
