Get back, Loretta – Paul McCartney is returning to Atlanta.
The music superstar will pull into the Infinite Energy Arena in Duluth at 8 p.m. July 13.
Tickets for the concert, priced at $59-$254, will go on sale at 10 a.m. May 1 at http://www.InfiniteEnergyCenter.com, the arena box office or by calling 1-770-626-2464. American Express Card Members can purchase tickets before the general public beginning at 10 a.m. April 26 through 10 p.m. April 30.
It’s a relatively intimate venue for McCartney, who sold out Philips Arena on his last visit in October 2014. The music titan was initially tapped as the perfect choice to open the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium before continued construction delays nixed that plan. As well, Philips Arena will be closed this summer to undergo its first round of renovations.
McCartney is in Japan this week for a trio of shows at the Dome in Tokyo.
In typical fashion, the indefatigable 74-year-old has continued a packed itinerary. In March, he released a reissue of his 1989 “Flowers in the Dirt” album, which included demos of his work with Elvis Costello (such as “My Brave Face”).
McCartney also recently joined fellow Beatle Ringo Starr in the studio to contribute to the drummer’s upcoming album, the follow-up to 2015’s “Postcards from Paradise,” and confirmed to BBC 6 Music that he is working on his own new material with producer Greg Kurstin.
