Music Midtown will return to Piedmont Park this fall for the same mid-September weekend it’s owned since 2012.
The two-day festival will take place Sept. 16-17, remaining a full-day Saturday-Sunday affair (last year it changed from Friday night and all-day Saturday to fill both weekend days).
The lineup for the Live Nation-produced festival is typically announced in June. Recent headliners have included The Killers, Beck, Elton John, Eminem and Twenty One Pilots.
Numbers from Billboard show that more than 129,000 attended last year’s event.
In 2014, Music Midtown generated an economic impact estimated at $50 million, according to a 2015 report by The Research Center at the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce.
