A documentary about Prince is expected in mid-2017– at least overseas.

“Prince: R U Listening?,” has been announced by production company 13 Films via Ascot Elite Entertainment Group, which secured the rights to the film for German-speaking countries in Europe.

A U.S. release date has not been announced.

The movie, first reported by Screen Daily, is expected to feature interviews with Prince’s bandmates, including Dez Dickerson, who joined Prince’s touring band in 1979 (he departed after the “1999” tour) and Andre Cymone, the bassist who played with Prince in his teen band, Grand Central.

The documentary will also offer interviews from Prince’s high-profile peers Mick Jagger, Lenny Kravitz, Bono, Billy Idol and Sheila E.

Michael Kirk, the acclaimed documentarian known for his work on the PBS series, “Frontline,” will direct the film.

Also, those who missed the Prince tribute concert in Minneapolis in October will have another chance to celebrate his legacy.

On April 21-23, Prince’s estate will host a four-day festival called Celebration 2017, set to present performances from many musicians who worked with Prince, including Morris Day and the Time, the reunited Revolution and New Power Generation.

Prince’s estate also announced that the next release from the late singer’s vaults will be a reissue of “Purple Rain,” including a disc of unreleased material.
