Gregg Allman is dealing with some serious health issues that have caused him to cancel all of his tour dates until his Oct. 29 Laid Back Festival at Lakewood Amphitheatre.
While no specifics were provided, Allman’s spokesperson said he’s currently under his doctor’s care at the Mayo Clinic.
In 2010, Allman underwent a liver transplant as the result of hepatitis C gone untreated too long.
Allman has canceled his dates starting with the Aug. 12 Peach Music Festival in Scranton, Pa., through the Oct. 16 Clearwater Jazz Festival.
His first show back will be the Atlanta festival. All dates after that are also currently confirmed to take place.
Allman last played Atlanta on New Year’s Eve with a performance at Symphony Hall. In May, former President Jimmy Carter helped Mercer University present Allman with an honorary doctorate at the university’s commencement ceremony in Macon.
