Janet Jackson likely surprised – and quite possibly irritated – fans last week with her announcement that she was postponing her “Unbreakable” tour to start a family.
Fans who heard throughout the week that refunds wouldn’t be provided were rightfully enraged. But that has changed.
Concert promoter Live Nation has released a statement that the tour will be postponed until 2017. “New dates will be announced at a later time and tickets will be honored for the rescheduled dates. Refunds are also available at the point of purchase.”
Considering that this is the second time Jackson has changed her Atlanta date – she was originally slated to play in March, but nixed that because of surgery and rescheduled for Aug. 7 – are fans running out of patience?
As of the weekend, Philips Arena still had the Jackson concert listed on its website, though the Ticketmaster page for the Atlanta concert now has “Date TBA.”
Jackson recently performed in Atlanta at a rainy September 2015 concert at Chastain Park Amphitheatre.
