Last year’s inaugural Wrecking Ball ATL celebrated the 25th anniversary of The Masquerade.
The weekend gathering of punk, indie rock, hardcore, emo and alternative acts will return to the treasured Atlanta venue for round two Aug. 13-14.
The Wrecking Ball ATL 2016 features more than 60 bands that will perform in an expanded five-stage format – two outdoor festival stages and three indoor club stages.
The initial lineup (another handful of artists will be announced in May) includes: Quicksand, L7, Thursday, Drive Like Jehu, Dinosaur Jr., American Football, The Julie Ruin, Motion City Soundtrack, Gorilla Biscuits, The Bouncing Souls, The Promise Ring, American Nightmare, Piebald, Touche Amore, Bayside and Deafheaven.
Tickets for the Ball are on sale April 1 via all Ticketmaster outlets, www.ticketmaster.com or by calling 1-800-745-3000.
A general admission two-day pass is $110 and a VIP two-day pass is $199 (includes separate entry line, admission to Friday pre-party, Saturday after-show concert, festival swag, five drink vouchers and a one food truck meal voucher per day).
Because of space restrictions inside, the indoor stages are subject to capacity and a ticket does not guarantee that you can see all of the indoor bands.
