[This story was originally filed on Feb. 1, 2016 and updated Feb. 15, 3017 – Here are all of the details about the “Hamilton” tour stop in 2018.]
Broadway hasn’t seen anything like “Hamilton” in years, so it makes sense that the genius production from Lin-Manuel Miranda will start canvassing the country next year.
Last week, the show’s producers announced a tour that will launch in San Francisco in March 2017 and then run in Los Angeles starting in August 2017. “Hamilton” already has a Chicago production ready to roll this September.
But good news for Atlanta theatergoers (or anyone else who is finding it impossible to get a ticket to the show in New York): “Hamilton” will swing our way during the 2017-2018 Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Atlanta season.
Those who purchase a subscription for the 2016-2017 season and renew for the 2017-2018 lineup will be able to guarantee seats for the Atlanta premiere of “Hamilton” before tickets become available to the general public. More information about the 2016-2017 season is available at www.broadwayinatlanta.com.
Details regarding “Hamilton”‘s show dates and how to purchase groups and single tickets will be announced at a later time.
The Broadway production is on an indefinite run and, according to the New York Times, a London “Hamilton” is being explored.
