On Jan. 20, Robb Cohen shot photos for his 1,000th photo gallery for the AJC.
Of course, since it was Madonna, he had to wait until 11 p.m. to finally get those milestone shots, but he’s a pro. (You can check out the gallery from that concert here.)
In Sunday’s Living & Arts section, I’ll tell you more about Cohen, the subject of this week’s Personal Journeys feature. If you’re digital-minded, you’ll find the story on MyAJC.com.
From Aerosmith to ZZ Top, Buckcherry to the B-52s, James Brown to Janelle Monae, Cohen has nailed many of the top acts from the last 20 years in action.
“The feeling of being in front of the stage, an amazing performance going on and 19,000 screaming fans behind you – it’s a real rush,” Cohen said. “It’s a privilege to do this, and I’ve always treated it as a privilege.”
While Cohen is the focus of a big story to celebrate his accomplishment, he’s also giving back to some music-loving AJC readers.
Cohen has graciously volunteered to donate three 8×10 prints of any of these 18 photos – some of his favorites — in the gallery below.
Here is what you need to do:
Peruse the picks and vote for your favorite in the poll beneath them. If you’re interested in winning a poster, zip me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please put “Concert Photo” in the subject line – anything else and I won’t see it – and in the email, tell me which photo is your favorite and why. I will randomly select three different winners, contact them directly and announce their names on this post. Deadline is 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 1.
