Lecrae is ready to take fans to church.
The Atlanta-based rapper unveiled his new mixtape, “Church Clothes 3,” first thing Friday morning. It’s the third installment (obviously!) from his critically acclaimed “Church Clothes” series, which have moved millions of downloads on DatPiff.com and iTunes.
In 2014, Lecrae topped the Billboard 200 and the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart – a first for any artist — with “Anomaly,” which spawned the Grammy-winning song, “Messengers,” featuring For King & Country.
“Church Clothes 3” is now available for digital purchase across all platforms, while physical copies can be purchased at DTLR stores.
The album was produced by S1 (Kanye West, Jay Z) and features guests E-40, N’Dambi, Propaganda, John Givez, JGivens, Jackie Hill Perry and Lecrae’s Reach Records label mate KB.
Fans can also check out the long-form video that features four songs from the new release: “It Is What It Is,” “Gangland,” “Déjà Vu” and “Misconceptions 3.”
In addition to his latest musical creation, Lecrae will add author to his list of accomplishments with the May 3 release of his memoir, “Unashamed.” Fans who pre-order the book at UnashamedBook.com will be given the choice of exclusive items, including a Lecrae song or an “Unashamed 116” T-shirt.
Lecrae will hit the road for his “Higher Learning” tour, but the closest he’ll come to his hometown are with shows in Albany (March 3), Augusta (March 4) and Toccoa Falls (April 7).
